NEWS

Our current Chairman, Alan Hultquist, is an East Preston resident and a wheelchair user himself, so he is well versed in the difficulties encountered by those with mobility problems.

Richard Akhurst, who has been involved with the group since it's inception in 2014 and was Chairman himself for some time, will continue to support the group as Vice-Chairman and Treasurer.

Unfortunately we have lost several members over the last couple of years, for various reasons, and we are hoping that our new website will generate some interest and new members!

We now have a Facebook page - many thanks to Maz Mitchell for her help and advice!

UPDATE

We have been delighted to welcome several new members over the last few months, who are keen to support our current project to "Reach the Beach".  This has been on our agenda for a number of years and we are hoping to re-ignite support for planning permission for a boardwalk and promontory onto the foreshore at the end of Sea Road and/or Sea Lane to enable people with mobility problems to access the foreshore and enjoy the lovely sea views.  We would like to thank Simon Cross from EPPC for his advice and support.

LATEST NEWS!

We are delighted to announce that revised plans have been drawn up for a boardwalk over the stones and viewing platform at the end of Sea Lane by local resident, Roy Allen and planning permission is being sought - watch this space!!
